I was watching a program here in the UK called "Celebrity Big Brother", a reality TV show where so called "celebrities" are filmed interacting with each other 24 hours a day in a house that is separated off from the rest of the world. Viewers phone in every weekend to vote to evict who they don't like, the winner is the last one left in the house.

Celebrity? There was a previous winner of the non celebrity version who is famous merely for winning it, her boyfriend, her mother and a girlfriend of a footballer among the con-*test*-('")ants.

Of course one does not need talent to be a celebrity these days, that is well known. How ironic then that Louise had talent in abundance, but didn't really seem to care much about money or fame and didn't make the decisions in her life that would have enabled her to hold onto the cash or the celebrity status.

The world has changed so much, today it seems the whole world wants fame, but without wanting to do anything to earn it. Being famous is enough, it's an end in itself, who wants to be famous FOR anything? It's "Just point your camera at ME!"

I wonder what Louise would think of it all.
